Dr. Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, the Education Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Education, emphasized the significance of implementing the vocational training diploma in the academic year 2023-2024. This program will initially target 200 grade 10 students in Muscat and North Al Batinah governorates.
During his visit to Hafs Bin Rashid Boys Schools, Nusaiba bin Kaab Girls Schools, and Haleema al Saadiyah Girls Schools in Muscat Governorate, the under-secretary expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the school administrations. He also commended the students for their positive engagement and willingness to embrace the subjects of business management and information technology.
Furthermore, Dr. Ambusaidi praised the dedication of the staff members in imparting knowledge and scientific principles to the students, particularly in the context of introducing new fields for the first time. This initial batch will serve as a foundation for future specializations, which will be introduced gradually according to a well-planned methodology.
While accompanied by Dr. Ali bin Humaid al Jahwari, Director-General of Education in Muscat Governorate, he engaged with various educational officials and members of the Assistant Committee for Vocational and Technical Education in the Directorate of Education of Muscat Governorate. Additionally, he met with officials responsible for overseeing vocational and technical education for business management and information technology majors. He attentively listened to a detailed overview of the work plan progress and observed the implementation of the two subjects by participating in classroom sessions.
