Muscat: Pakistan School Muscat has formally signed a contract for the development of its Mabela Campus, a state-of-the-art facility, marking a significant milestone in the school's 50-year history of educational excellence in Oman.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Syed Naveed Safdar Bokhari, Pakistan's Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman.
The agreement was signed by Ameer Hamza, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pakistan Schools Oman, and Syed Haris Ali, owner of AZ Engineering, the designated contractor for the project.
AZ Engineering is a well-established company known for providing high-quality infrastructure projects throughout the Sultanate. Project consultancy will be supervised by the company Tameer, headed by Manzoor Ahmed, who is noted for his experience in large-scale educational projects.
Valued at over OMR 3 million, the Mabela Project is a flagship educational initiative focused on developing a purpose-built campus on an 8,000-square-meter site.
The campus, intended to seat over 3,000 students, will have modern academic and recreational facilities that comply with worldwide standards, addressing the Mabela area's and neighboring regions' expanding educational needs.
The project is set to be completed by December 2026. On this important occasion, the Board of Directors and the Pakistan School System would like to thank the Ministry of Education and the Government of Oman for their persistent support and assistance in advancing quality education.
Special acknowledgment was made to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik for his visionary leadership and for graciously providing the land for this project, emphasizing the Sultanate's ongoing dedication to the educational advancement of expatriate communities in Oman.
This project is in line with Oman Vision 2040, which prioritises innovation, inclusivity, and human capital investments.
Pakistan School Muscat, which presently serves students from over 20 different nationalities, continues to make a substantial contribution to Oman's multicultural educational environment.
The signing was observed by the Ambassador and Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, indicating significant diplomatic and community support for the project. The ceremony was also attended by members of the Board of Directors, such as Iftikhar, the Director of Maintenance and Construction, school leadership, and prominent figures from the Pakistani business and professional community in Oman, including Dr. Tauqeer Rizvi, Asif Mehmood (Country Manager, NESPAK), Air Sial's Country Manager Muhammad Asif (CEO, Nasim ul Batinah), Chaudhry Kashif, Ahmed Ghumman, Qamar Riaz, Emran Fazal, Waseem Gul, Ziaul Haq Siddiquie, and Atif.
A sizable number of community members reaffirmed their shared aim of improving educational facilities and opportunities for the Pakistani diaspora in the Sultanate.
This historic effort exemplifies Pakistan School Muscat's dedication to providing accessible, high-quality education while promoting a culture of academic achievement, innovation, and global citizenship—in complete agreement with the broader objectives of both Pakistan and Oman.
