Oman, Tunisia Hold Political Consultations In Tunis

Tunis: On Wednesday, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister, met for political discussions with Mohamed Ali Nafti, Tunisia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, at the Tunisian Foreign Ministry headquarters. The meeting is part of Sayyid Badr's official visit to Tunisia.

The two ministers examined Oman and Tunisia's long-standing bilateral ties, which are distinguished by stability, harmony, and multifaceted cooperation. They emphasised the fraternal links between both nations and looked for ways to improve political, economic, and cultural collaboration, including knowledge exchanges in scientific and professional sectors.

Discussions centered on enhancing investment possibilities, with both sides encouraging private sector firms and investment authorities to broaden collaborations and increase trade exchanges for their shared economic benefit. The ministers also discussed regional and international concerns of mutual significance, emphasizing their continued cooperation in multilateral forums and support for peaceful solutions to current difficulties in order to strengthen regional security and stability.

Key sectors targeted for increased collaboration include commerce, transportation, tourism, renewable energy, industry, technology, food security, and pharmaceutical manufacture. The ministers highlighted the importance of converting these possibilities into meaningful outcomes for both nations.

The meeting was attended by Hilal Al Sinani, the Sultanate of Oman's Ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia, and Sheikh Faisal Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Arab Department at the Foreign Ministry.
