Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) has achieved success in the execution of a pilot project, employing rubber-modified asphalt in the Al Khabourah dual link project.
This pioneering strategy leverages recycled tires, thereby mitigating the environmental contamination associated with tire waste.
Rubber-modified asphalt is distinguished by its adaptability, resistance to cracking, erosion, and thermal impacts, resulting in an extended durability of the road surface.
