Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), in partnership with the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations, has apprehended two housemaids of African descent for a robbery that occurred in the Wilayat of Al Qabil, located in North Al Sharqiyah.
The suspects are charged with attacking a housewife using bladed weapons, restraining her, and stealing her gold jewelry, cash, and mobile phone. Subsequently, the police captured them in the Wilayat of Al Seeb. Additionally, three other individuals of various nationalities were arrested for aiding the housemaids in their escape and for disposing of the stolen goods.
Legal actions are currently being finalized against all five suspects.
