Second Consumer Protection Forum Kicks Off In Salalah

Salalah: The discussions of the second Consumer Protection Forum began on Wednesday at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah.

Hosted by the Directorate General of Consumer Protection in Dhofar Governorate under the theme "Pillars and Rights of the Tourist and Resident," the forum is set to last for two days.

Participants include representatives from regulatory and service units within the governorate, such as Dhofar Municipality and the Consumer Protection Authority, along with members of civil society and other interested parties.

The agenda of the forum featured a visual presentation highlighting the initiatives of consumer protection and the services offered, as well as a dialogue session with experts from regulatory and service organizations.

This session focused on topics such as oversight, consumer awareness, and strategies for safeguarding consumer rights, with the goal of increasing awareness of these rights and fostering collaboration between institutional and community efforts in this area.
