Google To Roll Out Android 15 Update For Pixel In October

Washington DC: Google has announced its plans to introduce the latest iteration of its operating system, Android 15, to Pixel devices in October.

This announcement is made despite the imminent release of the source code for Android 15, which is anticipated to occur next week, as reported by GSM Arena.

The Pixel 9 lineup, which was recently introduced, was equipped with Android 14 at launch.
Traditionally, the release of the source code for Android updates would align with the deployment of Pixel updates. However, Google has recently altered this practice.

The company is leveraging the additional time to refine marketing strategies for the Pixel Drops, conduct comprehensive testing, and address any unforeseen issues, as per GSM Arena.

GSM Arena's reports indicate that the Android 15 update for Pixels is scheduled for a delay, potentially occurring in the middle of October.

This postponement is intended to ensure enhanced stability and performance characteristics of the new software.

A similar delay was experienced with the Pixel update from the previous year, which was attributed to the necessity for further preparation.

Google's strategy indicates a move towards more meticulous release schedules, providing extra time to refine the update before its availability to users.

With this extended period, the company aims to deliver a more stable and refined version of Android 15.

As Pixel users eagerly anticipate the update, they can look forward to improvements and new functionalities that Android 15 is set to offer.
