Muscat: As part of the third phase of an approved evacuation plan to ensure the safe return of Omani citizens, the Foreign Ministry reported the successful arrival of 195 Omani citizens from Bandar Abbas, Iran, to Khasab Port.
The operation, conducted in close coordination between Omani authorities and diplomatic missions, also provided humanitarian assistance to 158 nationals of other countries who were granted passage through Oman in light of the current regional conditions.
In a parallel effort, the aircraft transporting Omani citizens and a number of foreign nationals from the Republic of Iraq to Oman was coordinated with relevant agencies and the Omani Embassy in Baghdad, which facilitated their return.
The Ministry reiterated its continuous commitment, together with its embassies abroad, to complete the final steps of the evacuation plan in order to ensure the safe return of all Omanis to their homeland.
