Muscat: On Tuesday, the State Council Office discussed a number of issues, including a summary report by the Assistant Secretary-General for Sessions and Committees Affairs on the Council's second ordinary session of the eighth term.
Sheikh Abdulmalik Abdullah Al Khalili, chairman of the State Council, presided over the meeting.
During the session, the chairman of the State Council praised the efforts of the members and the Council's General Secretariat in successfully executing their responsibilities. This, he said, strengthens the Council's legislative position throughout the second ordinary session of its eighth term and assures accountable work across a variety of activities and events.
The Office also addressed topics on the agenda and reports submitted by members on their involvement in regional and international council meetings. The meeting also examined the performance reports of the committees for the time between the previous and current Office meetings.
The meeting was attended by the officials of the Office and the Secretary-General of the State Council.
