The Dhofar Khareef Season festivities are drawing an increasing number of tourists from both within and outside the Sultanate of Oman, creating an environment of joy, happiness, and entertainment for families and children.
Yahya bin Khalfan Al Touqi, from the Wilayat of Adam in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, stated that people are drawn to the variety of programs available, which include interactive theatrical performances that portray educational situations in a simplified style that appeals to youngsters.
Mu'ayyad bin Awad Al Yafi'i of Salalah stated that there are several daily sections offered to children in various locations, and that educational plays deliver critical educational themes in an engaging way.
He also discussed the diverse of leisure activities, both aerial and digital, that cater to children's different demands and interests.
Ali bin Sulaiman, one of the parents who thronged to Atin Square with his family from Al Mudhaibi, North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, stated that such venues and the activities they provide for youngsters are vital outlets for families and an excellent spot to entertain children in a safe and enjoyable environment.
Al Mudhaibi emphasised that the range of activities, including fireworks displays, drone shows, and performances by acrobatic groups such as the Latin Band and the Crew Show, help to expand children's imaginations and enrich their visual tastes, and that the facilities cater to a wide range of preferences and interests.
Abdul Nasser bin Yaqoub AlNa'ar of Bahrain praised the remarkable degree of planning and accuracy in the selection of events aimed at children.
He said that the distribution of integrated pavilions for youngsters in multiple regions of the Dhofar Governorate allowed him and his family to travel about comfortably and simply.
AlNa'ar said that heritage performances, which link youngsters to their cultural roots in a simple and interesting manner, are examples of initiatives that indicate a strong awareness of children's needs and the development of their cognitive and artistic talents.
He stated that the Dhofar Season has evolved into a complete tourist destination that blends scenic beauty with meaningful family activities.
Saeed bin Muslim Habis, owner of the Ateen Slide project, stated that the initiative is the first of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman and is being implemented for the first time in Dhofar Governorate, utilizing the natural beauty of the Ateen Plain to deliver a pleasant and safe leisure experience for visitors to the governorate during the Khareef season.
He emphasized that Dhofar Municipality's assistance for young initiatives helped to transform the concept into reality.
He underlined that the project is a qualitative addition that promotes diversity and sustainability in the governorate's tourist and leisure activities, with goals to develop it further in the future, contributing to strengthening Dhofar's status as an integrated tourist destination.
