Supreme Judicial Council Holds Its First Meeting For 2025

Muscat: The Supreme Judicial Council convened its inaugural meeting for 2025 today, presided over by Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, the Deputy Chairman of the Council.

During this session, the Deputy Chairman praised the significant efforts and accomplishments from the previous year (2024), which have been instrumental in enhancing the quality of judicial and legal services, promoting justice and integrity, and ensuring the stability of judicial principles and rulings.

The agenda included various topics aligned with the Council's responsibilities to oversee courts, judges, and the Public Prosecution Department, as well as to elevate the standard of judicial services. Additionally, discussions were held regarding administrative and operational matters concerning the Supreme Judicial Council.

The Council also examined several items related to the advancement of laws and judicial legislation.
