Muscat: Oman Tower Company (OTC), Oman's independent telecom tower infrastructure provider, stated today that Brookfield has purchased a significant ownership in the firm.
OTC is Oman's fastest-growing telecom tower infrastructure company, having begun operations in 2019 and expanded to a pan-Oman portfolio of over 2,400 telecom sites with important partnerships with all mobile operators in Oman.
Majid Al Kharoosi, Managing Director of OTC, stated, "This step marks a new era of expansion and progress for OTC and the Omani telecommunications industry. "
Globally, Brookfield possesses and operates high-quality, long-life utility, transport, midstream, and data assets. Brookfield's tower portfolio is the world's second largest, with roughly 315,000 locations.
Brookfield is one of the GCC's biggest foreign direct investors. Brookfield has developed a portfolio of around $15 billion in managed assets spanning infrastructure, private equity, and real estate.
