Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs has promulgated a ministerial decree to establish the Omani Hajj Mission for the year 1446 AH, with His Excellency Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Rashdi serving as its Head, in the capacity of Undersecretary at the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA).
This decree outlines the appointment of specific roles within the mission. Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Kaabi has been designated as the Deputy Head for Administrative and Financial Affairs, while Abdul Aziz bin Masoud Al-Ghafri has been appointed as the Deputy Head for Hajj Affairs and Hajj Campaigns.
The foundation of this mission is predicated on Royal Decree No. 6/99, which delineates the competencies of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs and endorses its organizational framework. Furthermore, it is built upon the Civil Service Law, Royal Decree No. 120/2004, its subsequent amendments, and the Executive Regulations of the Civil Service Law, Civil Service Council Decision No. 9/2010, and Ministerial Resolution No. 236/2004, which address the establishment of the Omani Hajj Mission and its competencies.
