The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in Muscat has released Ministerial Decision No. 120/2024, which designates the GCC standard specifications for vehicles and motorcycles as mandatory Omani standard specifications. This decision aims to guarantee alignment with the most up-to-date safety standards and safeguard the interests of consumers and the environment.
As per the specified standards, sellers of new vehicles must affix a fuel consumption data label on each vehicle/motorcycle, enabling consumers to make informed comparisons regarding fuel efficiency and choose the option that best suits their requirements.
