Over 111kms Of Road Projects Ongoing In Al Dhahirah

Ibri: Al Dhahirah As part of the overall plan for service, development, and beautification projects that the municipality is undertaking this year, it is conducting numerous construction activities on internal roads in the wilayats.

These roads total 111 kilometers in various wilayats.

Engineer Salem bin Mohammed Al Sarkhi, Director of the Projects Department at Al Dhahirah Municipality, reported that internal road projects will be spread throughout the Wilayat of Ibri, with 60 kilometers paved in the first and second packages at a cost of OMR 4 million.

In the Wilayat of Yanqul, 25 kilometres were paved for OMR2. 2 million, and in the Wilayat of Dhank, 26 kilometers were paved for OMR1. 6 million.

He mentioned that efforts are still ongoing on numerous projects with varying implementation rates.

The internal road paving project in the Wilayat of Ibri, packages one and two, has a completion rate of roughly 15%, while the internal road paving project in the Wilayats of Yanqul and Dhank has a completion rate of 30%.

He stated that these initiatives improve traffic connectivity between different villages and residential neighborhoods, making it easier for residents to move around.

They not only give a civilized and beautiful character to these communities, but they also stimulate social, economic, and tourism aspects in line with the approach of continuous development and fulfill the basic needs of development projects in the governorate by reducing the impact of dust caused by dirt roads.

He clarified that these roadways offer shelter during rain and flooding, in addition to instructional signs for various routes.

He emphasized that Al Dhahirah Municipality is continuing to investigate and propose new projects to pave and rehabilitate internal roads in the coming period, in line with the priorities and general plan aimed at meeting the governorate's needs for internal roads, development, and beautification projects.
