Many Development Projects Under Execution In Dhofar Governorate

Dhofar Governorate is currently experiencing the advanced stages of construction for road projects undertaken by the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, which adhere to state-of-the-art international technical standards.

These initiatives are part of the Ministry's comprehensive efforts in the planning, design, and construction of roads, all aimed at aligning with the economic development goals of the Sultanate.

The governorate is in the midst of several critical projects, both in the construction phase and those in the design and award stages, across various wilayats.

Undersecretary Khamis bin Mohammed Al Shamakhi of the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, has announced that the construction of the Arjout – Sarfait Road in the Wilayat of Dhalkut is underway, with an estimated cost of OMR11 million. As of now, the project has achieved a 79% completion rate, with a projected completion date of 2024.

He further noted that the construction of the Harweeb – Al Mazyouna-Mitan Road has reached a 15.2% completion rate, with a total cost of OMR30 million. The road network construction in the Maqshan Wilayat has surpassed a 15% completion rate, with an estimated cost of OMR13 million.
