Endowments Ministry Organises Cultural Event On Omani Idenity, Civilization

Salalah: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs is set to host an event entitled "Oman Bridges: Identity and Civilization."

This five-day event, taking place at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, will be represented by the "Department of Introduction to Islam and Cultural Exchange," located at the Iftaa Office.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of HH Sayyid Marwan Turki Al Said, the Governor of Dhofar, under whose auspices the event will be conducted. The event is scheduled to conclude on October 10, 2024.

Sheikh Dr. Kahlan Nabhan Al Kharousi, the Assistant Grand Mutfi of the Sultanate of Oman, will deliver a speech during which he will discuss the elements that define the Omani identity, including religion, language, and the unique characteristics of the Omani people. He will elaborate on how this identity has positively influenced the nation's response to external influences over time.

It is important to highlight that the event will be accompanied by an exhibition that explores various themes, such as "Rights in Omani Society," "Omani Values ​​in Urban Jurisprudence," "Values and Ethics that have contributed to the spread of Islam by Omani Merchants," and "Omanis as Messengers of Peace."
