Agreement Signed To Operate Mirbat Castle, Adjoining Facilities

Mirbat: Today, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has officially signed an agreement with the Mirbat-Sadah Development and Investment Company. This agreement entails the management and operation of Mirbat Castle, as well as the rebuilding and operation of the archaeology antiques market and customs office in the Wilayat of Mirbat in the Dhofar Governorate.

The agreement was signed by Eng. Ibrahim Said Al Kharousi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Heritage, and Braik Musallam Al Amri, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mirbat-Sadah Development and Investment Company.

This agreement is a testament to the Ministry's commitment to fostering investment opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and utilizing cultural heritage in a sustainable manner to maximize its benefits. It is a crucial step towards achieving the objectives outlined in the 10th Development Plan and its strategic programs.

Furthermore, the Ministry has plans to offer numerous historical landmarks to privately-owned companies and SMEs, further promoting the preservation and development of Oman's rich heritage.
