Muscat: Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, the Minister of Health, emphasized that the restructuring of the health sector is a crucial step towards effectively managing and directing the provision of healthcare services in line with national development plans.
The Minister highlighted that this restructuring will ensure the delivery of healthcare services that are characterized by decentralization, transparency, justice, and accountability. It will also play a pivotal role in coordinating and integrating the various units of the administrative apparatus responsible for providing healthcare services at different levels, including primary, secondary, specialized, rare, and precise levels. The aim is to standardize health indicators and implement necessary mechanisms.

Furthermore, the Minister stated that the Ministry is actively collaborating with different healthcare sectors to efficiently distribute and organize clinical services. This approach will ensure optimal utilization of resources in the health sector. Additionally, strategic plans are being developed to effectively combat epidemics and chronic diseases, provide vaccines and medical supplies, and contribute to the formulation of financial policies for the health sector.

It will also ensure the separation of specialties within the Ministry, enabling the provision of preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, rehabilitative, and other healthcare services to all citizens, their families, and residents with utmost efficiency and quality.
