Muscat: Urgent Appeal for Platelet Donations at Central Blood Bank in Baushar
The Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS) has issued an urgent appeal to individuals with A (+ve), B (+ve), and O (+ve) blood types to donate platelets at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar.
In a statement, DBBS emphasized the critical demand for platelets and strongly encouraged active participation in platelet donation at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar. Patients with blood types A+, B+, and O+ are in significant need of platelet transfusions.
During Ramadan, the Central Blood Bank in Baushar operates from Sunday to Thursday. The morning donation hours are from 8 am to 12:30 pm, while the evening donation hours are from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm. The last moment for platelet donations is 10:30 pm, as stated by DBBS.
