Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has successfully apprehended six individuals attempting to transport substantial amounts of alcoholic beverages into the Musandam Governorate.
A joint operation by the Coast Guard Police and the Musandam Governorate Police led to the capture of six individuals, all of Asian descent, on two distinct vessels engaged in the illicit transportation of a considerable volume of alcohol.
This incident is not an aberration, as prior documentation has revealed a history of similar attempts to introduce alcohol into the region. The ROP's unwavering dedication to thwarting such activities highlights their commitment to upholding law and order throughout the nation.
In a press release, the ROP stated, "Coast Guard Police vessels, under the command of the Musandam Governorate Police, intercepted six Asian nationals on two boats in the midst of attempting to smuggle large quantities of alcoholic beverages. Legal proceedings are currently underway against these individuals."
