The Ministry of Economy in Muscat recently hosted a workshop focused on a matrix created to evaluate and select development projects for the year 2025. The workshop, attended by representatives from various government departments and institutions, aimed to improve the efficiency of government spending and revamp the project implementation process, particularly for economic diversification projects.
Dr. Nasser Rashid Al Ma'awali, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, emphasized the Ministry's commitment to fostering collaboration and communication between the Ministry of Economy and other government entities. He highlighted the importance of optimizing development spending to ensure maximum economic and social benefits from the funds allocated to different projects.

A presentation on Budget 2025 showcased the Ministry's ability to work closely with relevant authorities to provide accurate and timely estimates for development spending in 2025.
Experts from the "Government Projects Management and Follow-up Office" at the Tender Board delivered a visual presentation on the implementation plan and local content of budget projects. The workshop also emphasized the importance of aligning social and economic impacts with the national priorities outlined in Oman Vision 2040, the National Strategy for Urban Development, and the strategic programs of the 10th Five-Year Plan.
