Sangareddy: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy visited Sigachi Pharma Industries in Sangareddy district on Tuesday, where at least 34 people were killed and numerous others injured in a tragic blast a day earlier.
The Chief Minister convened a review meeting and instructed officials to provide a thorough inquiry report on the blast's origins.
While speaking with factory officials, Chief Minister Reddy urged them not to conclude with assumptions or general opinions. I require particular explanations for this accident. Only then will we be able to discuss what transpired here today.
The Chief Minister also inquired about the injured victims' treatment status and hospital costs.
He inquired, "How many people are unskilled and skilled labour? " Have you separated the amount of skilled and unskilled workers who perished in the explosion?
Revanth Reddy stressed that such events should serve as learning opportunities for government and industry participants. We need to concentrate on what instructions we may provide to prevent comparable issues in other sectors like this one. "We need two things from this: first, a detailed report, and second, accountability," he added.
He instructed the officials not to rely on previous inspections or reports, but to seek fresh evaluations from new specialists.
The Chief Minister addressed possible compliance concerns within the business and urged for a reassessment of previous notices and penalties. So far, 34 people have died in the blast, and rescue efforts are still underway at the scene.
On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed sadness over the loss of life in the blast. The Prime Minister's National Relief Fund will provide an ex gratia payment of Rs 2 lakhs to the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured.
