Weather Update: Isolated Rainfall To Continue Across Oman

Muscat: Oman Meteorology has announced that on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, several governorates in the Sultanate of Oman may experience isolated rainfall, resulting in the flow of valleys and reefs. 

According to the latest forecasts and analyses from the National Multi Hazards Early Warning Centre, there is a possibility of isolated rainfall in certain areas of Musandam, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, and the Al Hajar Mountains. This weather condition is expected to bring about the following:

1. Isolated rainfall with a range of 5 to 30 mm, leading to the overflowing of reefs and valleys.

2. Active downward winds with speeds ranging between 15-30 knots.

3. The rise of sea waves, reaching heights of 1.25-2.5 meters along most coasts.
