Muscat: As part of his ongoing official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, United Nations Secretary General António Guterres paid a visit to the Youth Centre in Muscat today.
Accompanied by his delegation, Guterres received a comprehensive briefing on the centre's operations, its functioning mechanism, and the various activities it carries out. Additionally, he had the opportunity to view a visual presentation that highlighted important indicators and statistics of the centre, as well as the programs it has implemented since its establishment.
The UN official took a tour of the centre's facilities, which encompass shared workspaces, a 3D printing laboratory, a drone laboratory, a virtual reality area, training halls, multi-purpose halls, and other amenities.
During his visit, the UN Secretary General also had the chance to listen to a briefing on the experiences of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) showcased at the centre's business incubator. This initiative is part of a partnership with the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED).
