Imran Khan To Lead Anti-Povt Protest From Jail, Wants It To

Islamabad: Aleema Khan, Imran Khan's sister and the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has stated that her brother will lead the protest from jail and that he wants the party's protest against the government to reach its zenith on August 5, the day he completes two years in prison, Geo News reported.

On Tuesday, Aleema Khan stated that Imran Khan had ordered the PTI to commence its antigovernment campaign after the 10th of Muharram.

While speaking to reporters at the Gorakhpur check post, Aleema Khan stated, "Muharram 10 has passed [... ] the party will unveil its strategy now. " Khan made the comments following her visit to Imran Khan at Rawalpindi's Adiala prison, along with Noreen Niazi and Uzma Khan.

She stated that Imran Khan would lead the protest from prison and chastised the party leadership, quoting Khan as saying that while he was free in prison, they were imprisoned outside, according to Geo News.

Aleema Khan stated that their family is aware of the protest preparations. However, she did not provide any specifics on the upcoming demonstration. She stated that PTI officials would brief the media on the strategy at the appropriate moment.

She also stated that the protest route, whether it begins in Peshawar and travels to Lahore, will be determined and communicated by PTI. She announced that Imran Khan's entire family would participate in the next protest.

Aleema Khan stated that Imran Khan had informed her that individuals who were unable to bear the burden of the political movement should resign.

She also commented on the suspension of 26 PTI legislators in the Punjab Assembly, claiming that the choice to suspend these lawmakers was made to please [Punjab Chief Minister] Maryam Nawaz.

Aleema Khan claimed that Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, were held in solitary confinement and that Khan had not been allowed to see his doctor in the previous ten months. She charged Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz with participating in the KHAN's restrictive measures, according to Geo News.

Noreen Niazi, Imran Khan's sister, told reporters that he was in good health. She did, however, assert that the prison officials prohibited Imran Khan from watching television, reading newspapers, or engaging with any other reading material for the previous week.

According to the report, PTI spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram stated that his party initially postponed the nationwide demonstrations owing to the Israel-Iran conflict, and then postponed them out of respect for Muharram days.

According to a PTI representative, demonstrations in the first phase will take place in provinces and districts. In response to a question, he stated that PTI employees should not be subjected to live ammunition. He stated that when the first bullet was fired, the PTI founder had won.
