Muscat: The initial payment for individuals eligible for social protection benefits was transferred to their accounts on Thursday, January 18, 2024. This payment encompasses benefits for the elderly, children, and family income support.
In an official announcement, we would like to notify eligible beneficiaries that those who registered before January 10 will begin receiving their benefits from January 18. On the other hand, beneficiaries who registered later in the same month will start receiving their benefits towards the end of the month.
It is important to highlight that as per Article (3) of the Executive Regulations of the Social Protection Law, the disbursement of benefits can be retroactive for a maximum period of 3 months, provided that the eligibility criteria are met.
