Muscat: On Tuesday, Khalid Hilal Al Ma'awali, the Chairman of the Shura Council, welcomed the delegation from the British Group Inter-Parliamentary Union (BGIPU) who are currently visiting Oman.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and evaluate the relationship between Oman and the United Kingdom (UK). Additionally, both parties explored various ways to strengthen their bilateral relations, particularly in the field of parliamentary diplomacy.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the significance of enhancing cooperation between the Shura Council and the UK Parliament. This collaboration aims to propel the bilateral relations towards broader prospects and opportunities.
Sheikh Ahmed Mohammed Al Nadabi, the Secretary General of the Shura Council, along with several council members, were also present at the meeting.
