Second Arab Tourism Statistics Forum 2024 To Begin In October

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, under the auspices of the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), is set to host the Second Arab Tourism Statistics Forum 2024. This prestigious event, scheduled for October, will be a collaboration with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and the Arab League.

The forum, which is anticipated to take place in Muscat from the 14th to the 16th of October 2024, offers a unique platform for Oman to present its endeavors towards achieving tourism objectives and elevating its position as a distinguished tourist destination within the Arab world.

Dr. Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Barwani, the CEO of the NCSI, remarked, "This forum aligns with the commemoration of Oman's Wilayat of Sur's designation as the Arab Tourism Capital for the year 2024. It presents a valuable opportunity to foster collaboration among Arab nations in the development of statistical indicators essential for the measurement and analysis of tourism performance."

Al Barwani highlighted the focus on the exchange of expertise and the enhancement of the quality of statistical data, aiming to provide precise information that underpins tourism decision-making processes.

Furthermore, he mentioned that the forum will welcome participation from experts and specialists from various nations worldwide, alongside representatives from regional and international organizations relevant to the tourism sector.
