His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued Royal Decree No. 28/2024 today, establishing the Oman Endowment Foundation and enacting its system.
Article (1) specifies the creation of a public foundation named the "Oman Endowment Foundation" with financial and administrative independence, reporting to the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs. The regulations outlined in the attached system shall govern the Foundation.
Article (2) designates the Governorate of Muscat as the headquarters of the Oman Endowment Foundation, with the possibility of establishing branches in other governorates upon the decision of its board of directors.
Article (3) mandates the chairman of the board of directors to issue necessary regulations and decisions for the implementation of this decree and the accompanying system.
Article (4) nullifies any provisions that contradict the decree or the attached system.
Article (5) requires the publication of this decree in the Official Gazette and its enforcement from the date of issuance.
