Muscat: Under the leadership of Sayyid Khalifa bin Said Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Supreme Court, fifty-nine heads of primary and appellate courts in the Sultanate of Oman have successfully completed the Najiz Programme.
This initiative, offered by the Royal Academy of Management (RAM) in partnership with the Supreme Judicial Council, was specifically crafted to enhance the skills and competencies essential for court leaders navigating the complexities of a dynamic environment. The programme is anticipated to yield significant long-term benefits for the overall effectiveness of the nation’s judiciary.
"The Najiz Programme was designed to provide the heads of Oman's courts with the necessary tools and skills to improve institutional performance and streamline judicial processes in accordance with the highest standards of quality and operational excellence. Participants had the opportunity to interact with experts in judicial administration, exchange local experiences, and learn from global best practices. This will ultimately boost judicial efficiency and reinforce public trust in the system," stated Dr. Fathiya Abdullah Al Rashdi, Vice Chairman of Programme Affairs at the Royal Academy of Management (RAM).
The three-day Najiz Programme has been a valuable experience for the participants and the leadership network they represent. The court leaders emphasized the programme’s contribution to enhancing their leadership skills and broadening their understanding of contemporary judicial administration practices. They noted that the Najiz Programme has provided them with advanced and emerging skills that are directly relevant to their responsibilities, aligning with the national vision of creating a more efficient and sustainable judiciary.
“Our involvement in the Najiz programme reflects the Supreme Judicial Council’s dedication to further developing the skills of its judicial and administrative staff. This initiative also signifies the ongoing collaboration with the Royal Academy."
Dr. Hamad Al Jahwary expressed his appreciation for participating in the Najiz Programme, stating, "It was a privilege to engage in this initiative alongside respected heads of courts and in the company of highly qualified trainers and notable administrative experts, including former leaders of prominent economic and administrative organizations. This programme offered a significant opportunity to acquire fresh insights, share ideas, and enhance our understanding of judicial and administrative principles. Among the key advantages were the chances to refresh our knowledge, expand our viewpoints, and contribute to the improvement of judicial processes. Furthermore, we were able to examine a variety of judicial experiences from both local and international contexts."
