Nizwa: The Al Dakhiliyah Governorate has witnessed the implementation of several development and service projects in 2024 as part of the wilayats development plan, which aims to achieve various national and development goals.
According to the Office of the Governor of Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, there are currently 43 ongoing projects with a total cost of OMR22.283 million. These projects include road maintenance and rehabilitation, souq rehabilitation, construction of public parks and gardens, and landscaping projects.
Governor Sheikh Hilal bin Said Al Hajri stated that the execution of these projects aligns with the priorities of the current year, with a focus on the social and economic aspects of development. The aim is to provide public services that cater to the needs of the society.
He further mentioned that the projects also involve the rehabilitation of internal roads and public parking lots in the wilayats of the governorate.
Sulaiman bin Hamad Al Sunaidi, the Director General of Al Dakhiliyah Municipality, highlighted that the key projects currently underway include internal road works in the Wilayat of Bahla spanning 62 kilometers, and internal road works in the wilayat of Al Hamra covering 51 kilometers. These projects are expected to be completed by the last quarter of 2024.
