Muscat: By the end of January 2025, the total passenger count at the airports in the Sultanate of Oman reached 1,331,619. Additionally, the total number of flights arriving and departing from Omani airports stood at 8,983, as reported by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
At Muscat International Airport, the passenger total by the end of January 2025 was 1,200,339, reflecting a 7% decrease. This figure included 1,109,650 international passengers and 90,689 domestic passengers. The airport recorded a total of 8,099 flights, with 7,410 being international and 689 domestic.
Indian nationals were the most numerous among passengers at Muscat International Airport, with 90,081 arrivals and 86,762 departures. They were followed by Omani nationals, who had 62,255 incoming passengers and 74,104 departures, and Pakistani nationals, with 30,355 arrivals and 25,377 departures.
Salalah Airport served 126,506 passengers, marking a 5% increase. These passengers traveled on 822 flights, which is a 1.6% rise. Of these, 404 were international flights carrying 59,429 passengers, while 418 were domestic flights with 67,077 passengers.
Duqm Airport recorded 4,774 domestic passengers across 52 flights.
