Oman Participates In Tashkent International Investment Forum

The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, is participating in the Tashkent International Investment Forum in Uzbekistan. The delegation, led by Minister Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, includes Ambassador Sayyida Wafa Jabr Al Busaidi and several business figures.

On the first day of the forum, panel discussions covered topics such as global investment, economic development, green energy opportunities, and strategies for navigating economic transitions. Discussions also delved into corporate governance, e-commerce trends, infrastructure investment projects, and the appeal of Central Asia's tourism sector to foreign investors.

During the forum, Minister Al Yousef met with Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to discuss trade relations between Oman and Uzbekistan. They also explored ways to enhance the Omani-Uzbek Investment Company's portfolio, attract more investors, and invest in tourism, hospitality, health, education, logistics, and infrastructure.

Additionally, Al Yousef held talks with Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, to discuss potential collaborations such as organizing an exhibition of Uzbek products in Oman, boosting trade volume, and establishing direct air routes between the two nations.
