Moscow: The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition, which highlights significant advancements in the tourism sector.
A total of ten Omani tourism companies are involved in the expo and workshops, aiming to share knowledge and expertise while exploring global tourism trends.
This annual event in Moscow is one of the largest tourism exhibitions in Russia and Eastern Europe, attracting prominent experts from the tourism industry worldwide.
Haitham Mohammed Al Ghassani, Director-General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, emphasized the ministry's commitment to participating in international tourism exhibitions, viewing them as essential platforms for boosting the Sultanate of Oman's visibility on the global stage.
He noted that the design of the Sultanate of Oman's pavilion at the exhibition showcases traditional Omani architecture while incorporating modern technologies to effectively promote the country's tourism offerings.
The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism aims to achieve several goals through its participation in international tourism exhibitions, including enhancing the Sultanate of Oman's presence at major global travel and tourism events, showcasing developments in the local tourism sector, engaging with leading international tourism companies and organizations, discussing collaborative efforts to increase tourist arrivals to Oman, and establishing a significant promotional and economic platform for Omani tourism businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises.
The Director General of Tourism Promotion announced that the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism plans to engage with representatives from various international airlines, global tourism firms, and media organizations to showcase diverse tourism offerings.
