Oman Participates In GCC Meeting Of Assistants To Ministers Of Islamic Affairs

Kuwait: On Wednesday, the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, participated in the 10th meeting of assistants to ministers of Islamic/religious affairs from GCC states.

During the meeting, which took place in Kuwait, Ahmed Saleh Al Rashdi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, represented the Sultanate of Oman.

The agenda included discussions on the exchange of research and experiences related to endowments, achievements during the "GCC Endowment Week," proposals for utilizing artificial intelligence in Islamic affairs, and activities associated with the "GCC week for the protection of religious and moral values of the family."

The importance of sharing research in the areas of endowments and Islamic/religious affairs was emphasized, along with the necessity of exchanging expertise to enhance relations among GCC states across various sectors.

Additionally, the meeting reviewed a proposal to create a national index to evaluate the societal impact of endowments, a contest named "Mafaz" aimed at promoting awareness of endowments and charitable initiatives, and a working paper addressing measures to counter deviant ideologies.

Participants also discussed World Endowment Day and the advancements made in implementing standards to portray the true essence of Islam while combating campaigns of hatred, fanaticism, extremism, and sectarianism.
