New Delhi: SpiceJet has entered into an interline agreement with Gulf Air.
Under this agreement, SpiceJet passengers will enjoy improved access to Gulf Air's extensive network, which is the national airline of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
"This collaboration will offer SpiceJet passengers seamless access to Gulf Air's wide-ranging network throughout the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Central Asia via Bahrain, while Gulf Air travelers will benefit from enhanced connectivity to India through SpiceJet's comprehensive domestic network," the announcement indicated.
An interline agreement allows passengers to book connecting flights across various airlines within a single itinerary, facilitating smoother connections and making travel more convenient. Ticket sales under this agreement are anticipated to commence early next year.
In its current operations in India, Gulf Air provides direct services to eight destinations: Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Goa, Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram.
Ajay Singh, Chairman and Managing Director of SpiceJet, remarked that this partnership represents a significant advancement in expanding opportunities for customers of both airlines.

The interline agreement will not only provide our passengers with seamless connections to Gulf Air's extensive network across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Central Asia but will also bring Gulf Air's passengers closer to the diverse regions of India through our domestic network," Singh stated.
He mentioned that both airlines strive to enhance travel convenience and accessibility for leisure and business travellers.
