Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is orchestrating a series of promotional seminars across India with the objective of attracting a greater influx of tourists.
The inaugural mobile promotional seminar was inaugurated in the heart of New Delhi.
These events are scheduled to take place in four principal cities: New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bangalore. The primary aim is to underscore the natural splendor, cultural richness, and opulent hospitality that the Sultanate of Oman offers.
The seminars are designed to introduce tourists to the scenic beauty, alluring destinations, and a variety of experiences that render the Sultanate of Oman an attractive destination for travelers. They also promote various tourism patterns and events, including conference and exhibition tourism, and provide insights into the latest advancements in the Omani tourism sector, as well as updates on upcoming developments and special promotional offers.
His Excellency Azzan bin Qasim Al Busaidi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, remarked: "The Republic of India stands as one of the premier sources of tourism to numerous destinations globally. The visitor count to the Sultanate of Oman in the year 2023 surpassed 600,000, and it is anticipated that this figure will see a significant increase in the forthcoming year, 2024."
Al Busaidi further elaborated: "The Sultanate of Oman is renowned as a multi-season destination celebrated for its natural beauty and cultural heritage, attracting tourists from diverse backgrounds, with a particular focus on enticing more visitors to indulge in the luxury hospitality that the Sultanate of Oman has to offer."
