Oman, India Explore Areas Of Naval Cooperation

Muscat: Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, the Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), was honored with a visit to his office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison today by Vice Admiral Vennam Srinivas, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command of the Republic of India, accompanied by his military delegation.

Throughout the duration of the meeting, the delegations engaged in discussions on a variety of topics of mutual interest.

The assembly was graced by the presence of Brigadier Hamed Abdullah Al Balushi, the SAF Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning, alongside several senior COSAF officers and the Military Attaché of India's embassy in Muscat.

In a parallel event, Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, the Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), was also welcomed to his office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison today by Vice Admiral Vennam Srinivas, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command of the Republic of India, accompanied by his military delegation.

During the subsequent meeting, the delegations engaged in a comprehensive review of the existing cooperation across various naval military fields and explored avenues for enhancing these collaborations.

The assembly was further enriched by the participation of several senior officers from the RNO and the Military Attaché of India's embassy in Muscat.
