Salalah— Razat Royal Farm in the Wilayat of Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, has begun inviting guests to its newly established tourist path, which was inaugurated this evening.
The path provides visitors with the opportunity to explore the farm's many agricultural areas, tropical and ancient trees, and numerous farm products, making it a complete tourist destination that is managed using rigorous technical and scientific standards.
Visitors, escorted by tour guides, began their journey through many stations that introduced them to various crops and plants, ending with an integrated station that combines the farm's elements in one area, complete with rest rooms and facilities.
The farm has a diverse agricultural range, with banana kinds like as the Razat banana, as well as a banana gene bank and a ripening unit. It also has coconut, papaya, grape, fig, custard apple, and Omani lemon trees, as well as tropical and subtropical fruits and a variety of vegetables.
The farm also has indigenous trees including frankincense and fig, as well as historic species such as baobab, giant ficus, and tamarind, as well as medicinal and aromatic plants such as turmeric, ginger, and basil.
The farm also functions as a bird sanctuary and has an old agricultural jar that dates back to the time of Sultan Said bin Taimour. The farm is watered by the Razat spring through a system of conventional and modern aflaj (irrigation channels).
The trail's inauguration represents a larger commitment to promoting agritourism and improving food security. The Royal Court Affairs has maintained that the trip provides an exciting experience for visitors while emphasizing agriculture's importance as a cornerstone of sustainable development.
Razat Royal Farm is located on Sultan Qaboos Street in the eastern section of Salalah. It spans about 1,085 acres, with 900 farmed, making it one of the Royal Court Affairs' most notable locations by blending agricultural productivity with biological and historical variety.
