The Sultanate of Oman's pavilion at the International Horticultural Expo 2023 in Doha, Qatar, has been awarded the prestigious "Best Content Award for Pavilions". Khalid Salim Al Zuhaimi, the Commissioner-General of the Omani Pavilion, expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating that it reflects the dedication of the Omani Pavilion in adhering to the specified guidelines and requirements for the theme of "Green Desert, Better Environment".
According to Al Zuhaimi, the Omani pavilion showcased various aspects of sustainability, environmental awareness, technology, innovation, and modern farming. He further emphasized that the pavilion featured a remarkable collection of 1,600 indigenous Omani trees and plants, including 56 species that are exclusive to the Omani environment at the regional level. These plants were carefully transported from the renowned Oman Botanic Garden, which is a significant tourism attraction in Oman and a pioneering project in the country.
