Munich: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Romania Luminita Odobescu during the Munich Security Conference on 16 February in Munich, Germany.
The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations and mutual interests between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of dialogue for understanding, security, and stability. Both sides highlighted the need to adhere to international law and justice.
Priority was given to addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza through an immediate ceasefire and the delivery of relief supplies.
Sayyid Badr also engaged with members of the Elders Group, including Ban Ki Moon, Juan Santos, Gro Harlem Brundtland, and Mary Robinson. The discussions centered on peacebuilding efforts, including recognizing the State of Palestine and implementing a two-state solution for lasting security and stability.
Various officials from both sides were present during the meetings.
