Muscat: Oman Airports has successfully managed an emergency landing at Muscat International Airport, involving a foreign aircraft that was en route from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to Mumbai Airport in India, due to an unforeseen emergency necessitating a change in its flight path.

Oman Airports has stated, "In alignment with our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and fostering collaborative efforts, Oman Airports and the Royal Oman Police promptly responded to an emergency landing situation. The aircraft, belonging to a foreign airline, was diverted to Muscat International Airport after encountering an emergency that required immediate action.

In response, the airport's emergency landing protocols were executed, and there was seamless coordination among the emergency response teams at Muscat International Airport and the relevant authorities to ensure the safe evacuation of all passengers following established procedures.

Furthermore, the aircraft was subjected to an exhaustive inspection by specialized teams to verify its safety and mitigate any potential hazards. The aircraft is now scheduled to proceed to its intended destination.
