Muscat: Oman Air has announced that its popular Muscat-Moscow route will now operate year-round. This decision comes in response to the route's success and the growing demand for travel between Russia and Oman. The airline will provide up to three weekly flights from May to September, in addition to its existing winter schedule, which offers up to six flights per week from October to April.
His Excellency Eng. Saeed Al Mawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and IT, and Chairman of Oman Air, stated, “The launch of summer flights signifies a return to year-round operations in Moscow, further enhancing Oman Air’s presence on this vital route and highlighting the significance of the Russia-Oman corridor for tourism, trade, and cultural exchange. As the airline continues to invest in strategically important markets, we are proud to support Oman’s broader vision for global engagement and economic diversification.”
Con Korfiatis, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air, remarked, “Moscow has consistently been a strong performer in our network, and operating year-round allows us to cater to the increasing demand throughout the year while reaching a wider audience. This expansion enhances connectivity for our passengers and aligns with our broader network strategy by linking Russia to various destinations across the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and Africa through Muscat, while also positively impacting Oman’s tourism objectives.”
For the summer schedule, flights between Muscat and Moscow will be available on Tuesdays and Saturdays in May and June, and on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from July to September.
The service will utilize the latest B737 Max-8 aircraft, which offer two cabin classes: Business and Economy. Passengers can expect Oman Air’s renowned Omani hospitality and award-winning service, ensuring a seamless travel experience throughout the year.
