Muscat: In alignment with its enduring dedication to the promotion of Khareef Dhofar and the support of national interests, Oman Air has implemented a series of strategic initiatives to enhance connectivity to Salalah. By maximizing its operational capacity, the airline has introduced up to 11 flights daily during peak periods, in addition to upgrading several flights to accommodate wide-body aircraft, thereby adding nearly 4,500 seats throughout the season. In July, Oman Air facilitated the arrival of nearly 50,000 visitors to the city, with more than 70% opting for fixed national fare tickets.
"During the Khareef season, Salalah stands as one of the most cherished tourist destinations in Oman. Recognizing its significance as a key sector, we are committed to its support and promotion in alignment with national objectives," stated Mike Rutter, the Chief Commercial Officer of Oman Air. "This Khareef, we have strived to meet the demand by offering the highest number of frequencies among airlines. Moreover, to facilitate travel for Omani citizens and ensure that journeys between Muscat and Salalah remain both economical and accessible, we have introduced consistent and transparent pricing with our year-round fixed fares. This initiative aims to enable more individuals to reconnect with family and friends or explore the country's natural beauty without the burden of fluctuating ticket prices."
The fixed national fare, available at OMR 54 for the Khareef season and OMR 64 for the remainder of the year, is exclusively accessible through the airline's website and mobile application. Although there is no cap on the allocation of Omani national fares, seats are in high demand, and guests are encouraged to make reservations well in advance to secure their seats. The airline also offers competitive fares for non-Omani travelers.
