Muscat: Oman Air has secured the top spot in the Middle East and Africa for being the best on-time performing airline, as per the 2023 on-time performance review conducted by global travel data analysis company "Cirium".
The prestigious award was presented to Captain Nasser bin Ahmed Al Salmi, Chief Operating Officer of Oman Air, during the Arabian Travel Market exhibition in Dubai. Jeremy Bowen, CEO of Cirium International, handed over the award to Captain Nasser bin Ahmed Al Salmi.
Captain Nasser bin Ahmed Al Salmi expressed his pride in achieving the highest on-time performance rate, stating that it reflects the company's unwavering commitment and reliability in the aviation industry. He emphasized that this recognition is a testament to the team's dedication, hard work, and relentless pursuit of providing exceptional comfort and excellence in every aspect of the passenger experience.
The CEO of Cirium International highlighted the significance of on-time performance as a competitive factor, particularly in the Middle East and Africa region. He emphasized that Oman Air clinched the award for being the most punctual airline in the Middle East and Africa, with an impressive score of 92.53, the highest among airlines worldwide.
In addition, Oman Air announced an increase in the frequency of flights to several destinations during the summer season, including Bangkok, Phuket, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, and Milan, during its participation in the Arabian Travel Market exhibition in Dubai.
