Prof. Rashid Hamad Al Balushi, Chairperson of the Oman Human Rights Commission, held a meeting with Gillian Oxenheim, Head of the Mission Office at the United Kingdom Embassy in Oman.
During the discussion, the commission's functions, structure, monitoring procedures, complaint handling related to human rights, as well as its role in engaging and collaborating with international organizations focused on human rights were presented. Additionally, the meeting highlighted the human rights awareness and educational initiatives carried out in Oman, catering to diverse segments of the population.
Othman Raja from the Political Section of the British Embassy in Oman participated in the meeting, while Shatha Abdul Majeed Al Zadjali, Director of the Department of Organizations and International Relations at the Oman Human Rights Commission, represented the commission.
