Music Concert Held To Mark 50th Anniversary Of Oman-Korea Ties

Muscat: The Korean Embassy in Oman recently hosted a concert titled "Heritage in Harmony," featuring the ADG7 (Ak Dan Gwang Chil), a band that has garnered multiple awards for its musical excellence. This event took place at the Oman Auditorium, Al Bustan Palace, on September 25.

The concert was a part of a series of events organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Korea and Oman.

World Music Expo 2019
The ADG7 has established itself as a prominent figure in the international music scene, particularly with its performances at notable events such as the World Music Expo 2019 and the global FEST 2020, marking its debut in 2015.

Support for the Concert
The concert was supported by the Oman- Korea Friendship Association and the Korean Association in Oman. The ADG7 showcased traditional Korean folk music, presented in a contemporary style, to both local and international audiences. The collaboration included musicians from the Oman Centre for Traditional Music, enriching the concert with their expertise. The performances were a testament to the deep-rooted friendship between the two nations, as the music reflected the shared values and sentiments of the Korean and Omani people.

The presence of Eng. Salim Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, at the concert was a testament to its significance. The event was attended by Omani dignitaries, representatives from both the public and private sectors, foreign Ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, and fans of Korean culture.

Ambassador KIM Kiejoo of Korea underscored the importance of this year as a pivotal moment in the five-decade-long partnership between Korea and Oman. He highlighted the role of cultural exchanges in strengthening the bond between the people of both nations, expressing confidence in the continuation and expansion of these exchanges.
