The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, recently held a meeting today with Their Excellencies, the ambassadors, and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Sultanate of Oman at the Invest Oman Lounge. The purpose of the meeting was to showcase the incentives and investment opportunities in various targeted sectors in the Sultanate of Oman and to attract foreign capital in the near future.
Eng. Ammar Al Kharusi, the CEO of Invest Oman Lounge, delivered a visual presentation during the meeting highlighting key aspects of investment, tourism, and the economic landscape in the Sultanate of Oman. He also discussed economic advancements, investment regulations, and the support provided by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion to investors across different sectors.
Additionally, Their Excellencies, the ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions, had the opportunity to explore the Invest Oman Lounge and familiarize themselves with the essential services and facilities available for investors interested in the Sultanate of Oman. They gained insights into the investment process, relevant entities, potential opportunities, and the resources provided to investors, as well as the significant prospects in various economic sectors in the Sultanate of Oman.
Her Excellency Ibtisam Al Farooji, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion, highlighted the importance of the meeting in showcasing Oman's facilitations and incentives to foreign ambassadors. Gathering feedback and opinions from the ambassadors will help in attracting foreign capital to support the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
She emphasized that the organization of this meeting demonstrates the Ministry's recognition of the significant role that accredited diplomatic missions in Oman can play in attracting major investors and promoting Omani products globally.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Diplomatic Affairs, mentioned that the Ministry is collaborating with relevant entities to promote investment and tourism in Oman through engagement with sisterly and friendly nations. This event is part of these ongoing efforts.
