Khareef Dhofar Receives Over 413,000 Visitors By End Of July 2024

Muscat: The total number of visitors to Khareef Dhofar during the Monsoon Season, spanning from the commencement of the season to July 31, 2024, stood at 413,122 visitors, marking a 4.3 percent increase from the corresponding period in 2023, which saw 396,108 visitors, according to preliminary figures released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) for Khareef Dhofar 2024.

The preliminary statistics indicate a notable rise in the number of Omani visitors, with an increase of 3 percent, culminating in 305,070 visitors. Concurrently, the influx of visitors from GCC countries saw a rise to 66,998, an increase from 59,555 visitors observed during the same period in 2023. Visitors from other nationalities also experienced a growth, reaching 41,054, an increase from 40,418 visitors.

By the conclusion of July 2024, the land port in Dhofar Governorate had welcomed 316,434 visitors, while air transport saw 96,688 visitors, marking a 7 percent increase from the air transport arrivals at the end of July 2023.

It is important to highlight that the majority of visitors to Khareef Dhofar, comprising 95 percent, arrived between July 1 and July 31, 2024, with the remaining 5 percent visiting between June 21 and June 30, 2024.
